Every runner who arrives at the start line brings one pack — any brand, any size. Those packs go directly to Making-A-Difference NPC’s vetted network of residential care facilities. No admin layer. No delay. A pack at the start line becomes dignity at a care facility within days.

Who we run for
The Nappy Run raises nappies for Making-A-Difference NPC’s Nappy Bank — which distributes dignity supplies at zero cost to vetted residential care facilities across South Africa. Our network includes:
- Orphanages and baby homes
- Disability care centres and residential facilities
- Elderly care centres
Every pack you bring to the start line goes directly to one of these communities. Zero procurement cost. Zero wastage. Maximum impact.

The Nappy Run starts in Johannesburg in 2027. But the vision is national — a day when runners across South Africa show up simultaneously, each carrying a pack of nappies, and together stock the Nappy Bank for months.
We are building something that has never been done before in South African road running. A race where every single entry fee goes directly to someone who needs it.

Advisory Circle
The Nappy Run Advisory Circle
The Nappy Run is guided by a small, deliberately chosen Advisory Circle — people who believe that what we are building is worth their name — from the running world, the business community, and beyond
The Circle advises on event format, distances, venue, and strategy. It is currently being constituted. If you have relevant expertise and would like to be considered for a seat, we’d love to hear from you.

MAKING-A-DIFFERENCE NPC

The Nappy Run is an initiative of Making-A-Difference NPC, a registered South African non-profit organisation. All funds and in-kind donations received at the running gates are processed exclusively through Making-A-Difference NPC and are fully audited and allocated directly to programme activities.
Voluntary cash donations made at registration are Section 18A eligible — meaning they qualify for a tax deduction for South African donors. Receipts are issued on request.
